In Bhudki village of Kotwali area of Bhadohi district, a government employee beat his cousin to death with a cot bed over a ghost dispute. The incident created panic in the village. There was chaos in the house after the incident. The family members are in bad condition and crying. The police registered a case of culpable homicide against the accused and arrested him. Police sends dead body for post-mortem.

There was a domestic dispute going on for many years between disabled Indrajit Pathak (60) and Mahendra Nath Pathak, residents of Bhudki village. It is alleged that there was an altercation over some issue on Saturday evening. After which Mahendranath broke the cot bed kept in the house and attacked Indrajit on his stomach and head. Due to which Indrajeet was seriously injured.
Indrajit was immediately brought to the district hospital Gyanpur. Where when the condition became critical, the doctors referred him to the trauma center. Where he died during treatment late at night. The incident spread sensation in the entire area. Police first registered a case of assault, but after the death, registered a case of culpable homicide and arrested the accused.
Inspector in-charge Vinod Tiwari said that there was a dispute going on between the two brothers regarding ghosts for one and a half decade. The accused told that his 15 year old son had died due to exorcism 14 years ago. Four years ago his uncle also died due to Tantra Mantra. The cousin was asked several times to leave this job, but he did not agree. After which this step was taken. Inspector in-charge said that the accused is a class IV employee in the collectorate. He was arrested and sent to jail.
